Nationwide prides itself on providing rightful entitlements to our staff. 

We have a clear charter of expected outcomes and behaviour of our workforce. This is defined in our comprehensive Employee Handbook, with particular focus on presentation, communication, health and safety, residents’ rights and responsibilities, mandatory reporting, recognising diversity, anti bullying and team work.  

Our staff are not only supported through regular Management contact, but can also access emotional support via our Employee Assistance Program (EAP). This is a free service provided by Davidson Trahaire Corpsych to all Nationwide Employees and their immediate family who are in need of assistance with personal or work issues.

Police Checks & Statutory Declarations

Nationwide recognises its duty of care and legal responsibilities to employ staff with a known and sound background. It is an inherent term of employment that all staff undergo a National Criminal History Check when commencing employment; and at 3 yearly intervals thereafter.

Prior to commencement with Nationwide all employees are required to complete a statutory declaration.

All staff must declare whether they have or have not been a citizen or permanent resident of a country/countries other than Australia and, whether they have been convicted of certain criminal offences.

It also provides you with the opportunity to truthfully declare any details regarding your criminal history that Nationwide may need to be aware of. Failure to declare discloseable outcomes, either in Australia or overseas, may result in the withdrawal of an offer of employment or termination of employment with Nationwide.
