Police Checks & Statutory Declarations
Nationwide recognises its duty of care and legal responsibilities to employ staff with a known and sound background.
It is an inherent term of employment that all staff undergo a National Criminal History Check when commencing employment; and at 3 yearly intervals thereafter.
Prior to commencement with Nationwide all employees are also required to complete a statutory declaration and must declare whether they have or have not been a citizen or permanent resident of a country/countries other than Australia and, whether they have been convicted of certain criminal offences.
This also provides you with the opportunity to truthfully declare any details regarding your criminal history that Nationwide may need to be aware of.
Failure to declare discloseable outcomes, either in Australia or overseas, may result in the withdrawal of an offer of employment or termination of employment with Nationwide.
